It also provides <strong>database encryption<\/strong> and <strong>files sharing services<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-f-JsCeHyxA\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-f-JsCeHyxA<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Compared to other solutions on the market like ZeroDB or CryptDB, Kalepso is said to be the first to ensure the <strong>maximum level of security<\/strong> by combining <strong>Oblivious RAM (ORAM)<\/strong> and <strong>Differential Privacy (DP),\u00a0<\/strong>which means that no one can infer anything about your data; even if the cloud or Kalepso get hacked.<\/p>\n<p>ORAM <strong>re-encrypts the database<\/strong> rows each time the client query its data to <strong>avoid access pattern<\/strong> leakages, while DP perturbs the query result size in order to avoid communication volume leakages.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Only 8% of cloud services meet enterprise security and compliance requirements&#8221;, according to\u00a0Skyhigh.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/insights.invyo.io\/europe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Techfoliance_data-breaches_kalepso-canada-fintech-forum.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright wp-image-5353 \" src=\"https:\/\/insights.invyo.io\/europe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Techfoliance_data-breaches_kalepso-canada-fintech-forum-300x127.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"397\" height=\"168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/insights.invyo.io\/europe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Techfoliance_data-breaches_kalepso-canada-fintech-forum-300x127.png 300w, https:\/\/insights.invyo.io\/europe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Techfoliance_data-breaches_kalepso-canada-fintech-forum.png 629w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 397px) 100vw, 397px\" \/><\/a>The start-up is also using the <strong>blockchain<\/strong> to ensure <strong>privacy for its clients<\/strong> who can manage and see who has access to their data.<\/p>\n<p>It is thus differentiating from other players like Sookasa since it is acting as a <strong>middle-ware<\/strong> between its clients and the cloud.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;18% of files in the cloud contain sensitive data&#8221; according to Gartner<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Kalepso was awarded during the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fintechmontreal.com\/events\/2017-canada-fintech-forum\/event-summary-2fccdbe879db41419584ec7094270692.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">Canada Fintech Forum<\/a> as the most innovative company and is part of the famous\u00a0Tandem Launch, a deep-tech Canadian incubator.<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kalepso is a Montreal-based Fintech that has developed a quantum-resistant solution for data protection in the financial industry.
